Validation - Washer disinfector calibration

DMED is able to support manufacturers of detergent for washers to demonstrate the effectiveness of washing.

An “ad hoc” cycle is studied according to the existing washing cycle of the sterilization rooms and the concentration of detergent in use.

Washing indicators are used to demonstrate correct washing.

After each calibration, and verified that the cycle is effective, proceed with the validation.

  • Furthermore, DMED develops and executes the following documentation:
  • Testing procedures
  • Washing procedures
  • Installation Qualification (IQ – Installation Qualification): process for documented acquisition and demonstration that the equipment has been supplied and installed in accordance with its specifications.
  • Operational Qualification (OQ – Operational Qualification): process for obtaining and documented demonstration that the installed equipment operates within predetermined limits when used in accordance with its operating procedures.
  • Performance Qualification (PQ – Performance Qualification): process for obtaining and documented demonstration that the equipment, as installed, is operating in accordance with the operating procedures, constantly operates in accordance with predetermined criteria and consequently provides a corresponding product to its specification.
